I love villains! Not because their evil... I don't really know why. I've always felt sorry for them when the get defeated!...... Sometimes I think that the 'good' guy who defeats the 'baddy' is more of a 'baddy' himself, as the hero doesn't even tend to look at it from the villains perspective! Villains always have a REASON for being evil!
Ah... this episode has me with so many mixed feelings. On one hand I like the fact that they bring Discord back and his part in the episode was awesome but I did like him better as a villain with a certain sense of mistery and malice to him. I don't think I'll ever warm up to this pairing but I'll admit, this picture looks pretty damn impressive.
This episode got mixed reactions; don't get me wrong I understand where people are coming from. However I'm going to express my opinion and say... I don't mind the reformed Discord, I personally enjoyed the episode. I think the reason for this is because (believe it or not) this actually kind of reminds me of Dragon Ball Z, mainly Piccolo. I know it sounds crazy but, it's true.
I totally relate to you on that one. I've seen the first DBZ episodes over again (right as Raditz appears) so many times that I see exactly where you're coming from. Only difference I can see here though is that eventually Piccolo went straight up over to the good side while I feel like Discord is going to be the new FIM troll (more so than before). He may actually become good but he probably won't be able to resist pulling pranks on a Pinkie Pie/Rainbow Dash level.
Yeah, perhaps you are right, but still. In the end I guess we can't be sure until he appears again, which by the way I assume that the "good" Celestia said he would do might have something to do with the next premiere. In other words I think he will take part in the premiere of season 4 and perhaps future premieres.
